Jon Rahm will return to competitive golf at the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship on the DP World Tour.[^1] The announcement was filed 3 November 2026.

LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy shortly before Rahm's exit. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund withdrew support after investing $5bn over four years in the tour.[^2]

Upon leaving LIV Golf, Rahm surrendered up to $150m in claims against the tour's bankruptcy estate.[^3]

At a press conference, Rahm stated he left LIV Golf because he was not satisfied with proposed changes for LIV Golf 2.0.[^4]

Rahm confirmed he has not practiced golf extensively ahead of the tournament. He described himself as rusty.[^5]
